Allison Belcher, Esquire

I have called the Tampa Bay area my home since 1983 and am a graduate of Pasco high in Dade City, Florida. I attended the University of Tampa on an academic scholarship where I received a B.S. in criminology. After college, I worked as a misdemeanor probation officer, supervising mostly DUI offenders for several years. I attended Stetson College of Law and was admitted into the Florida Bar in the year 2000. I started my legal career in the Office of the Public Defender in Pasco County where I spent six years as a criminal defense attorney. After the Public Defender’s office, I began working in the Office of the Attorney General, in Hillsborough County representing the Department of Children and Family in Dependency cases. I have spent the last ten years representing men and women in Family Law cases and criminal cases at Ayo and Iken PLC, with my main focus on Divorce, Child Support, alimony, equitable distribution and child custody cases.

My background gives me a strong foundation in procedural and courtroom practice. I am able to think quickly on my feet in tense, emotional situations and have the tools and experience to handle the toughest family and criminal cases. My personal life and upbringing have given me the ability to relate to my clients. I know firsthand what it is like when families face tough legal issues and what it looks like on the other side of those issues. I want each of my clients to know that with me they have an advocate who will stand by them through the divorce or criminal process and will fight for what is important to them. It is possible to come out on the other side of your legal issues better and stronger.
